SMG-EVO/Projects and Initiatives

SMG-EVO

Projects and Initiatives

SMG-EVO turns ideas into real impact through practical projects and innovative initiatives with measurable and sustainable value.

Turning ideas into real impact

SMG-EVO believes that real change is not achieved through plans and theories alone, but through practical projects and innovative initiatives capable of creating tangible and sustainable impact.

For this reason, the organization works to develop a set of strategic projects that combine technology, scientific research and field action, while responding to the real needs of communities and the environment.

Our projects are organized into three levels:

  • Projects under implementation.
  • Projects under preparation and funding.
  • Long-term strategic projects.

Flagship project: Agricultural and Environmental Smart Monitoring

Project vision:

This is the first strategic project launched by SMG-EVO. It aims to introduce smart monitoring and drone technologies into the environmental and agricultural sectors in Mauritania.

The project relies on unmanned aerial vehicles, data collection systems and digital maps to improve understanding of environmental and agricultural realities and to support planning and decision-making processes.

Project objectives:

  • Create the organization's first smart environmental monitoring platform.
  • Develop national capacities in drone operation.
  • Produce agricultural and environmental maps.
  • Support scientific research with field data.
  • Monitor agricultural land and natural resources.
  • Provide accurate information for development projects.

Project philosophy

SMG-EVO does not seek to implement the largest possible number of projects. It seeks to develop projects with real value, measurable impact and sustainability.

For this reason, each project is designed according to the following principles:

  • Innovation.
  • Sustainability.
  • Transparency.
  • Scalability.
  • Community impact.
  • Reliance on knowledge and data.

SMG-EVO believes that successful projects are those that leave a long-term impact beyond their implementation period and continue to serve society and the environment for many years.
